1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the standards of conduct expected of all CollaboPoint users. By using the platform you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
2. Prohibited Content
- Content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, threatening, or harassing.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors.
- Content that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
- Content that infringes any copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property right.
- Spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or commercial solicitation without recipient consent.
- Malware, ransomware, viruses, or any malicious code.
- False, misleading, or deceptive content intended to defraud or harm others.
3. Prohibited Activities
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any CollaboPoint system, account, or network.
- Conducting denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
- Scraping, crawling, or automated data harvesting without written permission.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service.
- Using the Service to mine cryptocurrency.
- Impersonating any person, company, or entity.
- Circumventing or attempting to circumvent any security measures or access controls.
- Reselling or sublicensing access to the Service without authorisation.
- Using the Service to facilitate or support terrorism or extremism.
4. AI Features — Acceptable Use
- You may not use AI features to generate content that violates any other section of this AUP.
- You may not attempt to manipulate, "jailbreak", or circumvent the AI's safety guardrails.
- AI-generated content must be reviewed by a human before use in legally significant contexts (contracts, medical advice, financial advice).
- You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of AI-generated content that you publish or share.
5. Data and Privacy
- You may not upload, store, or share personal data of third parties without a lawful basis and appropriate disclosure to those individuals.
- You may not use the platform to process special category data (health, biometrics, etc.) without implementing appropriate safeguards and informing us.
- You must comply with applicable data protection laws (UK GDPR, EU GDPR, etc.) when processing personal data via the Service.
6. System and Network Integrity
- You may not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
- You may not transmit large volumes of data that unreasonably burden our infrastructure.
- You may not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any CollaboPoint system or network.
- Legitimate security research must be conducted under our responsible disclosure programme — email security@collabopoint.com before testing.
7. Compliance with Laws
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws, including laws on data protection, export control, anti-money laundering, and counter-terrorism. This includes ensuring your workspace members also comply with this AUP.
8. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it immediately to abuse@collabopoint.com. Include as much detail as possible. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
9. Enforcement
- Warnings: for minor or first-time violations we may issue a warning and request corrective action.
- Content removal: we may remove content that violates this AUP without prior notice.
- Suspension: accounts may be suspended pending investigation of serious violations.
- Termination: accounts will be permanently terminated for serious, repeated, or intentional violations.
- Legal action: we reserve the right to refer violations to law enforcement authorities.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
