Yes. CollaboPoint is free forever for individuals, including documents, spreadsheets, presentations, chat, unlimited 1:1 video calls, group calls of up to five people for forty minutes, 2 GB of storage and 100 AI messages a month (up to 50 a day). Paid team plans start at £7 per seat per month.
CollaboPoint combines documents, spreadsheets and presentations, team chat, HD video calls with screen sharing, tasks and approvals, and an AI assistant in one workspace — replacing the need for separate document, chat, meeting and note-taking tools.
Team is £7 per seat per month and includes unlimited workspaces and documents, group calls with no time limit, 25 GB of storage and 500 AI messages a month. Business is £14 per seat for larger groups, 100 GB or more of storage and 2,000 AI messages. Seats are unlimited on both — you pay per person, with no seat ceiling.
Chat messages are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, accounts support multi-factor authentication by email code or authenticator app, and data is handled in line with the GDPR. Encryption keys are managed by CollaboPoint, so this is encryption at rest rather than end-to-end encryption.
No. CollaboPoint uses encryption at rest with keys managed by us, which means we can technically decrypt workspace content and would be required to comply with a valid legal order. If your threat model requires that your provider cannot read your data at all, you need a product built specifically for end-to-end encryption.
Your workspace database — documents, chat, workspaces and user records — is hosted in Google Cloud’s europe-west2 region in London, and Firestore backups are held in the same UK region. Uploaded files (avatars, chat attachments, imported documents) currently sit in a US-region storage bucket, with transfers covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We are working to move that bucket to the UK. If your organisation requires all data to remain in the UK or EU, contact us before starting a pilot.
We handle personal data in line with the UK and EU GDPR, publish a sub-processor register, support data export and deletion requests, and document our lawful bases and retention periods on our GDPR page. We are not currently ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certified.
Yes. CollaboPoint runs in any modern browser and has native apps for iOS and Android, with documents, chat, calls and AI available on all of them.
Yes. CollaboPoint imports and exports Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations, so you can bring existing files in and take them out again. Complex Word formatting and spreadsheet macros may not survive a round trip perfectly — test with a representative file before migrating in bulk.
You can export your documents at any time while your account is active, and you can permanently delete your account and personal data from Profile → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your live data; backups are purged on their own rolling schedule afterwards.
AI requests are routed through our own server-side proxy rather than directly from your browser, so provider API keys are never exposed. The built-in assistant uses an open-weight model served by Groq on the free tier and GPT-4o mini or Claude Haiku on paid tiers. You can also supply your own API key for Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or Groq if you prefer.
Yes. Under Profile → AI Assistance you can add a personal API key for Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or Groq, and workspace owners can set a shared team key. Keys are encrypted before storage and are never bundled into the mobile apps.
